The Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) aims to help people address the underlying issues that contribute to their offending behaviours. ARC is for people who have been accused of a crime who have a mental illness and/or a cognitive impairment. This includes an intellectual disability, acquired brain injury or autism spectrum disorder.
A referral must be made before a matter can be heard in the Assessment and Referral Court.
ARC is located at Balak Services on level 1.
Visit the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) website for more information.
