One building for five courts and tribunals

While the Bendigo Law Courts is one building, there are five courts and tribunals that work here.

These include:

  • Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)
  • Children’s Court of Victoria
  • Magistrates’ Court of Victoria
  • County Court of Victoria
  • Supreme Court of Victoria.

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia also sits here on a visiting basis.

This means each court or tribunal has its own process.

Visit the website of the court or tribunal that you are attending to understand:

  • how to prepare for your hearing
  • how to represent yourself
  • how to file documents
  • what happens at your court or tribunal hearing
  • how to connect with support services and programs.

If you don’t know where to go, please check the notice or summons sent to you, or contact the court or tribunal.
