After your hearing

Find out what to do after your hearing, what support is available to help you to understand your options, and how to provide feedback.

Understand the result of your hearing

After your hearing, you may need help to understand the result or outcome, and what will happen next.

Speak with your lawyer or legal representative.

If you require support, visit the Legal and support services page to find services that may be able to help you.

The Bendigo Law Courts staff cannot give you legal advice. They can explain court processes and procedures, and provide information about services that can give you legal advice.

Document collection

In your hearing, the judge, magistrate, member, or judicial registrar may direct you to collect documents. These may be provided to you at the hearing, or you may be directed to collect them from another location in the building.

If you need to collect a document, please visit the below jurisdiction locations:

  • Ground floor Children's Court Services - for Children's Court of Victoria
  • Level 1 General Enquiries – for Magistrates' Court of Victoria, County Court of Victoria and Supreme Court of Victoria
  • Level 3 VCAT Services - for VCAT.
