Victims Assistance Program

The Victims Assistance Program provides assistance to victims of violent crime and is a free service open to people living in the Loddon Mallee area of Victoria. It helps victims, witnesses and affected family members manage and recover from the effects of crime.   

There are also Koori Engagement Workers available who can assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of crime.

Victims of Crime Support Services

The Victims of Crime website can give you and your family free information, advice, and support.

If you are a victim of crime, you and your family may be entitled to free support. 

You can call on 1800 819 817 or text 0427 767 891. The line is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 7 days a week.

Victim and witness support from the Office of Public Prosecutions

If you are a victim or a witness, going to court and giving evidence may feel challenging. There are support services available to you and your family if you need help.
